Spicy African Peanut Soup

I made this on Wednesday, and it was delicious. It's going into my favorite winter soup recipes stash. Not my recipe, so I won't post it, instead I'll direct you to Prairie Bounty Catering for the recipe. Instead I'll just post some pictures of this yummy soup. I had this with a slice of Oatmeal Bread to dip in, and it was absolutely heavenly. Spicy, but not overly so. Paul's comment was "It tastes like peanut butter toast dipped into tomato soup, you wouldn't think that would taste good, but it really does."

I think I'll be using the base for a tomato soup as well. It was very very good.

It does sound off, but I never would have imagined grape jelly would be used in a meatball sauce, but it was wonderful (or so I'm told, I don't often eat meat).

If you have any vegetarian soups to share sometime, I will jump all over them....

I have some very good bean soup and other vegetarian recipes. I spent 5 years as a vegetarian, I still try to keep at least 1-2 days a week without meat. I'll try to keep it in mind to post those more often.

Oh that would be great, please don't go out of your way. Just when you get to it.

I tend to not try many things from recipe sites, so having a true opinion from someone who does have a more adventurous palette, is a gift to timid tonsil me - L....

I have to say these go together since I just posted a recipe for zesty meatballs that is a sauce made from grape jelly and chili sauce!

Monique: What kind of flavors do you tend to gravitate towards?

Erin: Anytime! I really do love your blog, and I'm sure your readers won't mind the extra advertisements to support it.

Tamy: I love those types of meatballs, I notice you have a few extra ingredients in yours, I'll have to give it a try sometime.
